New ICT Investments Enhance Learning Opportunities for Roma and Egyptian Children in Shkoza

Oct 24, 2025

Significant investments under the Blended Education Scheme were recently presented at the “Androkli Kostallari” School in Shkoza, marking an important step toward improving access to quality education for children from Roma and Egyptian communities.

A key component of this investment is the establishment of a modern computer science laboratory, fully equipped with up-to-date ICT technology. The new lab is designed to enrich the learning experience, enhance digital literacy, and create expanded educational opportunities for all students.

Strengthening Education Through Technology

The upgraded ICT facilities aim to support students in developing essential digital skills that are increasingly necessary in today’s academic and professional environments. By integrating modern technology into the classroom, the initiative contributes to reducing educational inequalities and ensuring that children from vulnerable communities have access to the tools they need to succeed.

A Collaborative Effort for Inclusive Education

These improvements are part of the broader Inclusive EduJobs project, which works to advance social inclusion and empower Roma and Egyptian communities through education, skills development, and employment support.

The project is implemented by:

  • Open Society Foundation for Albania (OSFA)

  • Municipality of Tirana

  • KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre

and is funded by the European Union.

Together, the partners are committed to creating a more equitable educational environment and fostering long-term opportunities for children and families in Shkoza and beyond.
