Community Jobs Scheme creates employment opportunities for Roma and Egyptian Communities

Dec 11, 2024

A total of 68 individuals from the Roma and Egyptian communities have recently secured employment in public institutions across four municipalities in Albania: Tirana, Shkodër, Vlora, and Elbasan.

This achievement has been made possible through the Community Jobs Scheme, an initiative of the Inclusive EduJobs – Albania project. The scheme is designed to support Roma and Egyptian job seekers by creating pathways into meaningful employment, while also enabling them to contribute directly to their communities.

Through this program, participants gain valuable professional skills and work experience that strengthen their long-term employability. At the same time, the scheme fosters inclusion, improves access to public services, and highlights the potential of community-driven solutions to social and economic challenges.

By combining skills development with opportunities for active engagement in local institutions, the Community Jobs Scheme stands as a strong example of how inclusive approaches can promote equality, empower minorities, and contribute to sustainable development.
