Creating opportunities through the Social Enterprise Scheme

Oct 28, 2025

Through the Social Enterprise Scheme, 55 individuals from the Roma and Egyptian communities have gained new employment and professional development opportunities, actively contributing to the economic and social life of their communities.

Jobs have been created in areas with a direct community impact, including recycling, elderly and child care services, cleaning and maintenance, and handicrafts.

In total, 7 organizations have been supported to create or strengthen sustainable business models that generate long-term social impact across the municipalities of Tirana, Elbasan, Shkodra, and Vlora.

The Inclusive EduJobs Project goes beyond a single initiative — it builds bridges between social innovation and inclusion, proving that when equal opportunities are provided, change becomes tangible and sustainable.

The project is implemented by the Open Society Foundation for Albania (OSFA), the Municipality of Tirana, and KMOP – Centre for Social Action and Innovation, and is funded by the European Union.
