The project “From Field to Market” has been implemented over the past five months to support 15 families of the Egyptian minority in Shushicë, Elbasan. This initiative, led by the Plant Genetic Resources Association and funded by Inclusive EduJobs – Albania, helps farmers specialize in agricultural production and improve access to local markets.
The project aims to establish a 2-hectare farm cultivating vegetables and fruits and to create an agricultural cooperative, introducing a new model for increasing production and fostering economic empowerment for farmers in the area.
The Inclusive EduJobs – Albania project team visited Shushicë to observe the results of this investment firsthand and learn more about the benefits for the 15 families involved.
Supported by the European Union, Inclusive EduJobs will also enable the creation of 80 new jobs for Roma and Egyptian farmers in the agricultural sector, strengthening local livelihoods and community development.
