Fifteen Roma and Egyptian individuals, previously identified as interested in developing a business idea, were invited to a meeting at the offices of LRER to learn more about the initiative, eligibility criteria, and conditions required to potentially benefit from the self-employment program funded by AKPA and implemented through LRER as part of the Inclusive EduJobs – Albania project.
During the interactive session, each participant presented a detailed description of their business idea and provided a brief analysis of how they envision the long-term development of their business. The meeting also served as a motivational and supportive space, encouraging participants to apply and access the funds provided by the self-employment program.
In the following days, LRER will conduct dedicated training with the 15 participants, focusing on how the self-employment program works and the procedures needed to submit a successful application.
The initiative “Economic empowerment of the Roma and Egyptian minority through the implementation of the self-employment program” is part of the sub-granting scheme of the Inclusive EduJobs – Albania project, implemented by the Open Society Foundation for Albania in partnership with KMOP and the Municipality of Tirana, with funding from the European Union.
