Supporting Roma and Egyptian job seekers towards self-employment

Jun 26, 2024

Ten job seekers from the Roma and Egyptian communities continue to receive support from the Egyptian & Roma Youth Movement (LRER) to develop their skills and prepare for self-employment opportunities.

During the training sessions conducted with expert facilitators, participants enhanced their knowledge and became familiar with the concepts of business planning. Guided by the experts, they worked in groups to complete the sections of a business plan. After creating draft plans, participants practiced presenting their ideas to one another, gaining valuable experience in communication, teamwork, and pitching business concepts.

These trainings aim to prepare participants to apply to the upcoming self-employment program call that will be opened by AKPA, ensuring they have the practical skills and confidence to succeed.

This activity was implemented under the project “Economic empowerment of the Roma and Egyptian minority through the implementation of the self-employment program”, funded by the Open Society Foundation for Albania as part of Inclusive EduJobs – Albania.
